Space Coast Honor Flight

Since many of our chapter members are veterans, AARP Chapter 219 supports Space Coast Honor Flight through charitable donations and donations of volunteer time by Chapter members.

There are approximately 9,700 WWII veterans in Brevard County, Florida. Space Coast Honor Flight’s goal is to ensure all Brevard County veterans have an opportunity to visit their memorial and to be recognized for their contribution to our nation by providing an all expense paid visit to Washington, D.C.

Supporting Local Food Banks & Pantries

Hunger is a huge problem in our community, and AARP Chapter 219 is trying to make a difference. At each of our monthly membership meetings, we collect canned and dry foods, which we donate on a rotating basis to the following Brevard County food pantries:

• South Brevard Sharing Center
• Jewish Federation of Brevard
• Ascension Catholic Church Food Pantry
• Second Harvest Food Bank
• Viera VA Outpatient Clinic
